PHOENIX – A smoke shop at Tempe’s Arizona Mills shopping center was recently busted and shut down for allegedly selling recreational drugs illegally, authorities said.
The Tempe Police Department started investigating the Smoke Station after receiving a tip that it was selling marijuana and THC products without a license.

The Tempe Police ACTION Team and Arizona Attorney General’s Office executed a search warrant at the mall smoke shop on July 31 and found boxes of THC edibles, vapes, carts and pre-rolls along with jars of marijuana.
The Tempe Police Department posted video footage of the raid to its social media accounts last week.
Tempe smoke shop drug bust results in two arrests
Authorities wound up seizing over 2,100 items from the smoke shop and making two arrests.
The store’s manager was arrested on suspicion of selling marijuana and running a criminal enterprise, while an employee was arrested for sales.
Management at Arizona Mills, a sprawling indoor shopping center near the Interstate 10-US 60 interchange, terminated the Smoke Station’s lease after learning of the drug bust.
