Florida Highway Patrol said the man was driving eastbound in the westbound lanes on Beach Boulevard before crashing.
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A Jacksonville man died early Friday morning after crashing into a home remodeling business along Beach Boulevard in Jacksonville, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
FHP said at 1:06 a.m., the man was traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes of Beach Boulevard at Beachwood Court when he crossed the median and went into the eastbound lanes.
FHP said the man then drove off the road, went through a parking lot and crashed into a window of Woodsman Kitchens and Floors, located at 11732 Beach Blvd.
According to FHP, the man was taken to a local hospital where he died.
FHP did not release the man’s identity, but said he was 69 years old.
