PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A Phoenix freeway was closed in one direction early Friday morning after a serious crash.
Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS) troopers responded to the crash on the eastbound Loop 202 Red Mountain freeway near 40th Street just before 4 a.m.
Information was not immediately available on how many vehicles were involved or how many people were injured.
Arizona’s Family crews at the scene could see at least one person being taken to the hospital and two involved vehicles.

The crash has caused a backup early Friday morning on the Loop 202 eastbound near 40th Street. Drivers are being detoured to exit the freeway at 24th Street.
It’s unclear how long the freeway will remain blocked.
