SAN ANTONIO – One man was killed and another was arrested early Friday after a wrong-way crash near the San Antonio International Airport.

The accident occurred just before 3:30 a.m. along Wurzbach Parkway near West Avenue on the North Side.

Police said a Chevrolet Silverado going the wrong way struck a 2007 Mercury Grand Marquis head-on, killing its driver.

The 30-year-old driver of the Silverado was taken to a hospital for evaluation, where officers said he was found to be intoxicated. He was subsequently arrested, though authorities have not yet released the specific charges.

The investigation remains ongoing.
