Whether just beginning to explore their interests or narrowing down their college choices, local high school students can check out their next potential campuses next weekend at a college fair in Redondo Beach, the Redondo Beach Unified School District announced recently.

The school district, the Redondo Beach Council PTA and the Western Association for College Admission Counseling is hosting the 2025 South Bay Los Angeles College Fair from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 7 at Redondo Union High School, RBUSD announced in a press release.

Students will visit booths and learn about 100 colleges and universities from across the country and internationally schools, per the release, offering a one-stop opportunity to explore a variety of post-secondary education pathways.

Representatives from public and private universities, community colleges, and military academies will be available to share insights, answer questions and help students envision their future, the release reads. Representatives from the United States Air Force Academy and United States Naval Academy will also be on site.

The WACAC has held college fairs throughout California and Nevada since 1972, according to its website.

RUHS last held a college fair in 2021, said Anthony Taranto, executive director of career pathways for RBUSD. But it was only for students that attended Redondo Union.

Next Sunday’s event, meanwhile, will welcome students across all of Los Angeles County, he added.

When students walk through the college fair, RBUSD Superintendent Nicole Wesley said, they will step into a an environment of opportunity where they’ll gain clarity about how and where they want to continue shaping their futures.
