FORDHAM, The Bronx — Two people were shot and another person was grazed by a bullet outside a church in the Bronx on Friday night.
Police said it happened just before 9 p.m. at 25-40 Marion Avenue and East Fordham Road near what appeared to be a candlelight memorial.
A 17-year-old man was shot in the thigh and ankle and a 20-year-old man was shot in the right knee. They were taken to St. Barnabas Hospital in stable condition.
A 28-year-old man was also grazed in the back of his head and was treated on the scene.
Police are searching for two men who fled on a moped on Marion Avenue. One male suspect was dressed in all black and the other was dressed in all gray.
No arrests have been made. The circumstances surrounding the shooting are unknown.
The investigation is ongoing.
The shooting comes a day after Mayor Adams said he was deploying 1,000 additional police officers into the borough to stem the wave of gun violence.
