Moments after she took down No. 5 Mirra Andreeva on Friday night at the Grandstand, Taylor Townsend kept things real about how she felt.

“God damn this feels good,” she told ESPN.

Townsend stunned Andreeva in straight sets 7-5, 6-2.

The American has more work to do, as she faces Barbora Krejčíková on Sunday in the Round of 16.

It’s the first time Townsend has reached this far in the U.S. Open since 2019.
