PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Four adults are recovering in the hospital after a multiple-car crash in east Phoenix on Friday night.
It happened at 40th Street and McDowell Road just before 8 p.m.
Firefighters said one person had to be rescued from their wrecked car.
Three men and a woman were taken to the hospital in critical condition, firefighters said.
Video from Arizona’s Family News chopper showed that at least four vehicles were involved, including a work truck and an SUV that received most of the damage.
It’s unclear what led up to the crash but police said the white truck caused it. Speed and impairment are likely factors, detectives said.
An investigation is underway.
