PHOENIX (CNN/AZFamily) – A comedian from the Valley is exiting “Saturday Night Live” as the show goes through major cast changes for its 51st season.
Michael Longfellow will be leaving the sketch comedy show after three years as a cast member. He began with “SNL” as a featured player in 2022 before he was promoted to a full cast member for the 50th season.
Longfellow attended Desert Mountain High School in Scottsdale before enrolling at Arizona State University. He became a known on “SNL” for his repeated, hilarious performances on the “Weekend Update” segment.

According to CNN, longtime cast member Heidi Gardner will also leave the show. Gardner appeared on eight seasons of “SNL.”
Earlier this week, it was announced that Devon Walker and Emil Wakim would not be returning to the show.
Announcements on who will be joining the cast are expected soon.
NBC says season 51 will premiere on October 4.
