UPDATE (7:00 P.M.) A flood advisory has been issued for much of Bexar County, including most of San Antonio. Avoid low-lying and flood-prone areas, and don’t drive through water.

UPDATE (6:30 P.M.): A FLASH FLOOD ADVISORY has been issued for part of Northwest Bexar County by the National Weather Service.
Over 2,000 customers are without power as heavy rains lead to at least 13 active outages across the San Antonio area, according to CPS Energy.

UPDATE (5:50 P.M.): The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Warning for Southeastern Gillespie County and Northeastern Kendall County until 8:30 p.m.

UPDATE (4:50 P.M.): The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for parts of Hays, Blanco, Kendall, and Comal counties.
A flood advisory has been issued for parts of Gillespie and Llano counties, including the communities of Fredericksburg and Junction
A Flood Warning has been issued for north of our region in Hamilton, Lampasas, and Mills counties.
A flash Flood Warning has been issued for Southeastern McCulloch County, North Central Mason County, and Southwestern San Saba County in west central Texas.

Pockets of heavy rain are crossing over the Texas Hill Country, with flooding possible depending on intensity. A potential for scattered storms around Bexar County to start around 11 p.m.

SAN ANTONIO – A cold front is bringing isolated showers and thunderstorms to much of this city, prompting officials to issue a flood watch.
The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Flood Watch effective now through Monday at 12:00 p.m.
A possible rainfall of 2 to 4 inches, with isolated totals of 8 inches, may result in flash flooding in prone areas.
Our latest forecast indicates that a very isolated risk of 5″ – 8″ of rain exists somewhere in the Flood Watch if storms train over the same area with heavy rainfall.

Mix of sun and clouds with afternoon thunderstorms likely as a weak cold front pushes through the area. Pockets of heavy rain with gusty winds as storms push from north to south throughout the afternoon & evening. Isolated areas of flooding are possible.
Officials are warning those who live in low-lying areas or near rivers and creeks that those areas may flood very quickly.
Residents are also reminded to avoid driving through standing water, instead to “Turn Around, Don’t Drown.”
