Around 7:41 p.m. on Sunday, as heavy rains fell across San Antonio, crews were called to the scene of a house fire near the corner of Redriver Dawn and Loop 1604, just east of U.S. 281.

When crews arrived, they began working to knock down the large house fire, which was mainly concentrated in and around the attic and roof.

The fire was mostly extinguished, but still active nearly an hour after the blaze had started. No injuries were reported as a result of the fire.

According to the San Antonio Fire Department, the fire could have been caused by a lightning strike; however, the ultimate cause is still under investigation.
