LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) – Mental health is an important topic for people to know more about.

Lima Councilman Derry Glenn held a mental health support program for Haitian newcomers. According to Dr. Glenn, this program is a vital step in providing culturally responsive mental health resources to Lima’s newest residents. They are providing them with resources and outlets to help them find what they need.

“My main thing is to know what direction go get help at. You know, with their mental health, that’s the main thing we talking to them about. And how could they Most of their questions come out from the jobs, because from the jobs not hiring, because they have to learn to speak English. So we’ll work on that piece,” said Derry Glenn, Lima 6th Ward councilman.

Councilman Glenn said he plans to have more mental health programs in the future
