The Dallas Wings face the Minnesota Lynx after a tough loss to Atlanta and with key players sidelined due to injuries.

ARLINGTON, Texas — The Dallas Wings are heading up north Monday to take on the No. 1 team in the league, the Minnesota Lynx.

Dallas (9-31) is coming off a 100-78 loss to Atlanta on Friday. Maddy Siegrist led the Wings in scoring with 23. Paige Bueckers, back on the court after being out with an illness, dropped a 16-point, 10-assist double-double.

The Wings have been hampered by injuries, losing Arike Ogunbowale, Li Yeuru and J.J. Quinerly to various ailments. Only eight players suited up for Dallas on Friday. The team currently sits at the bottom of the league standings.

The Lynx (31-8) have had a different experience this season. With plenty of veteran talent, including All-Star forward Napheesa Collier, Minnesota has been the most dominant team in the W this season. Collier is one of the most complete competitors in the league, averaging 23.4 points, 1.6 blocks, and 1.8 steals per game — ranking among the top 5 league leaders in all three categories.

The Lynx have only dropped two games on their home court this season, and the Wings are currently 0-3 against Minnesota this season.

Wings fans will see a familiar face on the other end of the court inside Target Center on Monday. Dallas traded guard DiJonai Carrington to the Minnesota Lynx earlier this season.

Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. CT.
