LA PLATA, Mo. — A popular Labor Day weekend tradition drew quite a crowd on Monday.

One of the highlights of the 2025 La Plata Soybean Festival was the parade at noon on Labor Day.

It featured emergency vehicles, antique tractors and many other entries to entertain the hundreds lining the parade route along the west side of the La Plata Square.

There was a full schedule of events to keep everyone’s attention, including a car show, pony rides, cake walk, bingo, pie-baking contest, pet show, bounce house, kiddie parade, baby show and a La Plata High School Student Council pie-in-the-face fundraiser.

The La Plata Soybean Festival is put on by the La Plata Promotional Committee and made possible by a lot of volunteers and area sponsors.
