Dry Creek corn maze to pay tribute to La. native country star Lainey Wilson

  • September 1, 2025

DRY CREEK, La. (KPLC) – Farms across the continent, including here in SWLA, are paying tribute to Louisiana-born country star Lainey Wilson this fall.

Wilson, who grew up on a fifth-generation farm in Baskin, was named Country Music Association Entertainer of the Year for the second year in a row. She will be honored by 36 U.S. and Canadian farms in the 2025 Country Music Corn Mazes.

“I was blessed to be raised playing in the dirt, riding in the tractor, and helping my daddy grow corn. I could never have imagined I’d be carved into a corn maze one day myself,” Wilson said.

This is the third year of the Country Music Corn Maze campaign, which previously celebrated Reba McEntire and Luke Bryan.

CM Farms in Dry Creek will open its 12-acre Lainey Wilson maze Saturday, Sept. 27. The farm also offers wagon rides, farm animal encounters, a pumpkin patch and other activities.

Visitors can enter to win a trip to see Wilson perform at the National Finals Rodeo in Vegas on Dec. 7. The grand prize includes tickets, a two-night hotel stay, an airfare voucher and a meet-and-greet with Wilson.

One winner from each participating farm will also receive an autographed copy of Wilson’s new expanded album, “Whirlwind Deluxe.”
