The Los Angeles Women’s Theatre Festival (LAWTF) is set to light up Burbank this fall with From Best of the Fest, a dynamic evening of standout performances from some of the Festival’s most celebrated artists. The event takes place on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at 8 p.m. at the Victory Theatre Center, 3326 W. Victory Boulevard, Burbank.
Hosted by legendary R&B award-winning singer Freda Payne and actor-producer Kat Kramer, the evening will showcase a diverse lineup of talent, highlighting the rich breadth of solo performance.
The program includes:

Vanessa Adams-Harris in Rosa Parks, an excerpt honoring the courage of the “Mother of the Civil Rights Movement.”

Liza Dealey-Thomason in Supernova, a whimsical musical journey exploring self-care and empowerment.

Sona Lewis performing Kathak, a dance rooted in the 14th-century Classical Indian tradition.

Clarinda Ross in From My Grandmother’s Grandmother Unto Me, a heartfelt piece of Appalachian storytelling spanning generations.

Founded in 1993 by Adilah Barnes and Miriam Reed, LAWTF is the longest-running annual solo festival in Los Angeles. Over the past three decades, it has presented more than 700 artists from around the world, offering multicultural, multidisciplinary performances in theatre, dance, music, storytelling, spoken word, and beyond. The October showcase is supported in part by the City of Burbank.
