DFW, DAL under departure delays during Labor Day travel

Departures are delayed at both of North Texas’ major airports due to incoming thunderstorms.

DALLAS — Travelers returning home from Labor Day trips may be hitting snags at DFW and DAL.

Both Love Field and DFW International went under ground stops Monday afternoon due to thunderstorms moving through in the area. As of 4:30 p.m., those ground stops have been lifted, but departure delays remain at both airports.

The delay at DAL is an average of 30 minutes, and DFW travelers can expect an average 75-minute delay.
