Beyonce accepts the award for album of the year for “COWBOY CARTER” during the 67th annual Grammy Awards on Sunday, Feb. 2, 2025, in Los Angeles. Her daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, looks on from right.
Beyoncé is the talk of the town as she brings her Cowboy Carter tour to her hometown of Houston.
The 35-time Grammy Award winner from the Third Ward will perform at NRG Stadium this weekend, with concerts scheduled for 7 p.m. Saturday and 7 p.m. Sunday.
Beyoncé last performed in Houston on Christmas Day, during halftime of a Houston Texans home game at NRG Stadium.
Here is what local Beyoncé fans can expect for this weekend.
Concert tickets
If you haven’t yet bought tickets to the sold-out shows, there is still hope. Online ticket brokers such as Ticketmaster have resale tickets available for purchase. As of Friday morning, prices on the site ranged from about $175 to more than $5,000.
Travel impacts
Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) and Hobby Airport (HOU) expect increases in travel surrounding the star’s arrival, much like they saw when Beyoncé performed in Houston in 2023.
Houston Airports, which operates the airports, projected an increase in passengers on both Friday and Monday, compared to the same dates last year.
“Houston shows up when Beyoncé comes home,” said Jim Szczesniak, director of aviation for Houston Airports. “We’re expecting an influx of fans from across the country and beyond.”
Both airports will have a Cowboy Corner Pop-Up which includes: vibrant digital signage, Instagrammable backdrops and other activities to welcome guests to the city for the concerts.
The activities include: Live Harmony in the Air performances and the opportunity to try local dining from restaurants such as Throughgood Bistro, which partners with Beyoncé’s BeyGOOD initiative to fight food insecurity.
Cowboy Carter merch
Like in other cities on the tour schedule, fans could possibly see a Beyoncé merchandise truck where they can buy exclusive merchandise from the tour. That could include hoodies, jerseys, hats, patches, shirts and more available for purchase.
Fans can also shop for Cowboy Carter merch on the Beyoncé website. Some items are already sold out.
