HOUSTON COUNTY, Ga. (WGXA) — Fire crews rescued and resuscitated three dogs that were found inside a burning home Monday night.
The fire at 7536 Houston Road prompted a significant response from local fire departments around 7 p.m. The Centerville Fire Department and the Houston County Fire Department worked together to extinguish the structure fire.
Houston County Fire Chief Christopher Stoner said no one was injured in the incident. The occupants of the home managed to escape before the fire departments arrived on the scene.
Approximately 50 percent of the home was burned, but Stoner noted there is significant heat and smoke damage throughout the property.
Investigators are currently working to determine the cause of the fire.
