An investigation is underway after police said a man was shot outside of a high school in West Philadelphia overnight.
Police said a 29-year-old man was shot in the side and lower back during an argument with a woman in the parking lot of William L. Sayre High School.
According to police, witnesses shared that the woman had fired the shots, then took off the wrong way down 58th street in a light colored or silver SUV.
Police said the man was taken to the hospital by responding officers and is listed in stable condition.
At the scene, police said investigators found two shell casings, but it is believed that as many as six to eight rounds were fired.
According to police, the school has surveillance cameras and officers are looking into the videos as part of the investigation.
