SAN ANTONIO – The 41-year-old man, who was shot and killed by police officers last week after allegedly pointing a shotgun at them, has been identified.

The deadly incident began around 10:30 a.m. on Aug. 29 when police were called out to a home off North Cherry Street near Lamar Street.
Police say the situation started when the man got into an argument with two other drivers. He followed them and confronted one of them before going inside his home and got a shotgun. At some point, he fired several shots in the air, which prompted police to be called.
When officers arrived, he allegedly pointed the gun at them, and they responded with gunfire, fatally shooting him.
Authorities say the man had a history of previous disturbances at his home, though they didn’t provide many details. The two other drivers are being interviewed.
