Real Madrid are enjoying a strong start to the season, and one of the biggest reasons behind their success has been the form of their summer signings.
Among them, Alvaro Carreras has stood out with performances that have quickly made him one of the most talked-about players at the club.
The Spanish full-back has not only impressed fans at the Santiago Bernabeu but has also left people in England frustrated, especially at Manchester United.
Manchester United reeling
According to reports from Defensa Central, Carreras’ rise has caused great anger at Old Trafford.
It must be noted that the English giants had every opportunity to keep hold of him when he was still at Benfica, as they had an optional buy-clause, but they failed to act with urgency.
Now, as Real Madrid enjoy his contributions, United are left scratching their heads, questioning why they let such a promising player slip away.

The risk, however, is already paying off, with Carreras becoming a key part of Xabi Alonso’s plans.
Regretting the missed opportunity
At Manchester United, the frustration is clear. They look at their squad, which lacks depth and consistency, and see Carreras thriving in Spain.
With United already struggling both on and off the pitch, missing out on a player like him feels like another sign of poor planning.
Reports claim that some at the club even feel as though they “gave him away,” despite his potential being evident.
This regret adds to the crisis atmosphere surrounding United, where questions about Ruben Amorim’s future continue to grow.
Despite heavy spending in the transfer market, results have not matched expectations, and Carreras’ success in Madrid is only adding salt to the wound.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid can be delighted, as they not only secured a talented left-back but also gained a player hungry to prove himself at the highest level.
