The Los Angeles Haunted Hayride returns this Halloween season for a uniquely terrifying experience aboard creepy haywagons, hosted by Elvira, Mistress of the Dark for 2025! Luckily, the scare zones are also balanced out with light-hearted experiences, including macabre performances, axe-throwing, and a zombie shooter game.

Now’s the time to grab discount pre-sale tickets for the 2025 Hayride, happening on select nights between September 12th and November 2nd, 2025.

The world-famous Haunted Hayride transforms part of Griffith Park into a fictional 1980s town called Midnight Falls. The action is centered around a 10-15 minute hayride experience—this year with better seating—where costumed actors and animatronics create eerie thrills and jump scares. There are also several haunted mazes where you can test your bravery.

Elvira herself has moved into Midnight Falls this year, transforming the fan favorite Trick or Treat maze into “Elvira’s Trick or Treat Mayhem.” You can also stop by the “Elvira Pop Up Shop” featuring a campy collection of merchandise.

Janelle Monáe has also returned to collaborate on “Monae Manor,” where guests are invited to explore a legendary Halloween soiree with a twisted secret.

Guests can enjoy s’mores stations this year in Midnight Falls, the center of more lighthearted festivities. Other experiences include The Monte Revolta Show, back with nightly performances featuring grotesque gags and terrifying tunes, and the Zombie Splat Gellyball Experience, where you shoot Gellyballs at live zombie actors in an epic apocalypse simulator.

Round out your evening with escape rooms, axe-throwing, carnival games, and a “Scary-Go-Round,” not to mention endless themed photo backdrops and fantastic food trucks.

The L.A. Haunted Hayride began in 2009, becoming especially well known after a major investment by Mark Cuban on Shark Tank.

The hayride is considered a tamer experience compared to other local haunted houses, making it a nice option for newcomers to haunted attractions. Enjoy a mix of fright, lighthearted fun, and Halloween nostalgia in a unique outdoor setting in Griffith Park.
