The Wild Horses festival is returning to San Diego in its fifth iteration, with a stacked lineup including Mumford & Sons, Lord Huron, Sierra Ferrell, and Lily Meola.

On Saturday, Dec. 27, the country and Americana festival will bring unforgettable performances to one of San Diego’s most iconic locations: Petco Park. It’s not only the best place to catch a Padres game, it’s also one of the best music venues in the city.

The 2025 edition of the Wild Horses festival marks its fifth iteration in San Diego. It’s known for a fresh and occasionally genre-bending taking on Americana. Last year, for example, the festival featured Post Malone as its headliner alongside Cody Jinks, Midland, and LeAnn Rimes.

This year, anthemic folk band Mumford & Sons will take the stage as the headliner. They’ll be joined by indie folk artists Lord Huron, genre-bending bluegrass star Sierra Ferrell, and rising indie pop darling Lily Meola.

Doors are set to open around 4 p.m. at Petco Park, with performances running through the evening. Early planning is recommend for parking, and there are also plenty of hotels near the stadium to make for an easier commute.

Petco Park has long been an excellent music venue for festivals, concerts, and more. The stadium routinely hosts major musical acts and festivals beyond Wild Horses, including a summer concert series. Wild Horses specifically is quickly becoming a year-end tradition for music fans in America’s Finest City.

Tickets to Wild Horses San Diego officially went on presale on Tuesday, Aug. 26, with general public sales opening Aug. 27. Tickets are still available, however, and you can get yours here.
