JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — You could call it breakfast with a side of adventure. That’s what a little boy got after wandering into a Chick-fil-A in Jacksonville.
Now, the video of officers coming to his rescue is going viral.
Earlier this summer, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office says two officers responded to a five-year-old who walked into the restaurant on San Jose Boulevard all by himself. The officers found him enjoying breakfast and soaking up attention from Chick-fil-A workers.
With the boy’s help, they tracked down his home. When they arrived, one of the officers even had to climb over a fence to knock on the door.
A few weeks later, the officers and the boy reunited at the same Chick-fil-A where it all started.
JSO says the boy’s parents are not in any trouble, but the incident is a good reminder for families to teach children their address, parents’ names, and a phone number.
