Edia has entered into a global licensing agreement with Falcom to port various Ys, Dragon Slayer: The Legend of Heroes, and The Legend of Xanadu titles originally released for PC Engine CD-ROM² to modern platforms, the company announced.
The list of licensed titles is as follows:
- Ys I & II (December 21, 1982, PC Engine CD-ROM²)
- Ys III (March 22, 1991, PC Engine CD-ROM²)
- Ys IV: The Dawn of Ys (December 22, 1993, PC Engine CD-ROM²)
- Dragon Slayer: The Legend of Heroes (October 25, 1991, PC Engine CD-ROM²)
- Dragon Slayer: The Legend of Heroes II (December 23, 1992, PC Engine CD-ROM²)
- The Legend of Xanadu (February 18, 1994, PC Engine CD-ROM²)
- The Legend of Xanadu II (June 30, 1995, PC Engine CD-ROM²)
The titles will be released between fiscal years 2026 and 2027, leveraging Edia’s expertise in porting and commercializing retro games—accumulated through releases like Telenet Shooting Collection and Valis: The Fantasm Soldier Collection—to deliver more than simple ports that can be enjoyed by many fans.
