A lucky passenger caught a breathtaking view of Manhattan’s skyline at sunrise while flying over New York City, and it immediately went viral.

The woman, who goes by Madi online, shared the clip, to her TikTok account @tiktakmadi on Friday, showing a thin layer of white clouds in the sky, revealing the shimmering skyscrapers, reflecting the pink light of the sunrise above the iconic city.

“Oh I just got THE shot”, she writes in the clip. “Manhattan showin AWFFF this morning”, Madi continued in the caption.

The video quickly went viral on social media and it has so far received over 22.2 million views and 6.4 million likes on the platform.

One user, Lyss.and.tell, commented: “Not to be dramatic but that made my heart stop.”

Carly said: “I will forever romanticize NYC [because] this is how it feels to me.”

Many users couldn’t help but notice the size of Central Park, which they had originally underestimated.

“I didn’t know Central Park was that huge”, said Kflexboy.

Occupying an area of about 840 acres (340 hectares), Central Park is the biggest public park in Manhattan, New York City. It extends between 59th and 110th streets, and between Fifth and Eighth avenues.

Inside there is a zoo, an ice-skating rink, three small lakes, an open-air theater, the iconic Naumburg Bandshell, many athletic playing fields and children’s playgrounds, several fountains, and hundreds of small monuments and plaques, including a 19th century Egyptian obelisk known as “Cleopatra’s Needle.”

It is also one of the most visited tourist attractions in the city, with the official website for the park stating it welcomes roughly 40 million visitors each year from across the globe.

Located in the heart of the city Central Park, is also one of the most notable examples of architecture, landscape design, and urban planning in the world.

It is an urban park that supports a wide variety of habitats, including woodlands for songbirds, wildflower meadows and grassy streamside areas for insects, and ponds and lakes for fish and turtles.

Despite its popularity with people, the park is home to a surprising range of wildlife, including red-tailed hawks, herons, butterflies, dragonflies, painted turtles, snapping turtles, mallards, and little brown bats.
