STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Staten Island’s Snug Harbor Cultural Center and Botanical Garden will transform into a barbecue lover’s paradise for the 16th annual Pig Island NYC on Saturday, Sept. 6, 2025.

The all-inclusive food festival will feature more than 20 chefs and restaurants showcasing traditional barbecue alongside global flavors in the venue’s South Meadow. Attendees can expect everything from whole hog roasts to pork belly dishes and aged country ham.

Pig Island 2023The September 6 all-inclusive food festival at Staten Island’s Snug Harbor offers early VIP access for $85 and general admission for $65, featuring unlimited food and drinks from more than 20 chefs.

Notable participants include Tank Jackson of Charleston’s Holy City Hogs, who will serve heritage hog barbecue and specially cured ham aged by Benton’s Bacon in Tennessee. Past Rib King NYC winner Jose Perez from The Meat Truck will defend his title, while 2022 Brisket King and Rib King winner Joe Musnji of SmoKing of Meats returns to compete for Best in Show.

Pig Island 2023The premium event is one of the top three festivals on Staten Island.

The event will feature diverse culinary offerings, from Don Rodrigo Duarte’s nose-to-tail creations to Thai-inspired dishes from Kam Rai Thai and Khaosan. The festival also includes a Hot Sauce Alley featuring artisanal producers like Achilles Heat and Coney Island Saucery.

Beverages include selections from RGNY wines, Graft Cider, Hudson North Cider, and craft beers from Flagship and Round Table. Non-alcoholic options from Momentum Brewing will also be available.

Pig Island 2023The Sept. 6 festival brings together heritage pork producers, award-winning chefs, and artisanal beverage makers for an all-inclusive event with traditional BBQ and international flavors.

VIP admission begins at 11 a.m., offering early access and exclusive perks for $85 plus fees. General admission starts at noon, with tickets ranging from $55 to $65 plus fees. VIP tables accommodating 10 people are available for $750. Tickets can be purchased via PigIsland.com.

The event will be held at Snug, located at 1000 Richmond Terrace.

The 2025 Pig Island judges panel brings together a dynamic mix of culinary talent, media personalities, and food innovators. Brimstone, a celebrated entertainer, professional wrestler, and host of The Grindhouse Radio, brings his bold personality and food critic credentials to the table. Alessandra Ciuffo, chef and creator behind @flavorsbyalessandra, shares her expertise as a food educator and social video host for Delish Magazine.

Stephanie Perez, known for her visual storytelling through @yeahfoodbeer, pairs regional cuisine with craft beer across New York and beyond. Gennaro Pecchia, co-founder of Chefs Who Care and former SiriusXM co-host ofRoland’s Food Court, adds his deep industry insight. Adam Poch, a longtime New York food judge and outdoor cooking enthusiast, brings a decade of grilling and smoking experience. Ethan Fedida, founder of Elfassy Foods and 2024 Sauce King NYC™ Grand Champion, rounds out the group with his award-winning harissa creations.
