President Trump has spent more time attacking late-night hosts such as Stephen Colbert, Jimmy Kimmel and Jimmy Fallon than a Commander-in-Chief should over the last few months.

At the end of last month, Trump finally got round to including Seth Meyers in his social media barrages against the comedians that regularly mock him.

“There is a sick rumor going around that Fake News NBC extended the contract of one of the least talented Late Night television hosts out there, Seth Meyers,” Trump posted on TruthSocial. “He has no Ratings, Talent, or Intelligence, and the Personality of an insecure child. So, why would Fake News NBC extend this dope’s contract. I don’t know, but I’ll definitely be finding out!!!”

Ignoring the fact that Meyers extended his deal well over a year ago – something the President was clearly just hearing about – the Late Night host, who has been on hiatus for the last few weeks, finally responded.

Guest Kumail Nanjiani congratulated Meyers for “finally getting on Trump’s radar”.

“For weeks, he was picking on Fallon and Kimmel and Colbert and I was like, ‘What’s a girl gotta do?’. Because you talk about him, too.”

Meyers responded, “It’s kind of nice.”

After noting that Trump has cherry picked insults for the other hosts but combined them all for Meyers. “In a way, it’s almost like he’s saying, ‘You know, he’s got something for everybody,” Meyers joked.

It’s not the first time that Trump has gone after Meyers. In January, he said Comcast should “pay a BIG price” for having Meyers on.

“How bad is Seth Meyers on NBC, a ‘network’ run by a truly bad group of people,” he posted online. “I got stuck watching Marble Mouth Meyers the other night, the first time in months, and every time I watch this moron I feel an obligation to say how dumb and untalented he is, merely a slot filler for the Scum that runs Comcast.”
