Dallas police arrested two men in separate drug probes, seizing over 1,000 grams of narcotics in Park Row.
DALLAS — Officers with the Dallas Police Department’s Southeast Patrol Division arrested two men in separate drug investigations last week in the Park Row neighborhood, seizing more than 1,000 grams of illegal narcotics, police said.
According to Dallas PD, the arrests followed ongoing investigations and community reports of drug sales and prostitution in the neighborhood.
On Aug. 28, police said officers observed 41-year-old Brandon Thompson conducting drug sales from his vehicle. Officers stopped Thompson and recovered multiple narcotics, including 45.4 grams of hydrocodone, 510 grams of promethazine and 49 grams of marijuana, as well as $3,226.97 in cash.
Thompson was arrested and now faces multiple charges, including manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and possession of a dangerous drug, police said.
The following day, Aug. 29, officers observed another man making hand-to-hand drug sales in the 2800 block of Meadow Street. Police identified the suspect as 29-year-old Yellarrious Thomas Crow. Officers said they stopped Crow after following him from the sale location and discovered cocaine, hydrocodone, tramadol, alprazolam, carisoprodol, marijuana and $3,594 in cash.
Crow was arrested and faces multiple felony charges of manufacture and delivery of controlled substances, police said.
“These arrests are the result of ongoing investigations and enforcement of drug laws in the Park Row neighborhood,” Major Yancey Nelson, commander of the Southeast Patrol Division, said in a news release. “Our officers are in the area, visibly and covertly, working with intelligence gained through investigations and following up on concerns reported by the community. I thank those who continue to speak up and I commend these officers for their continued hard work.”
