Hip Pocket Theatre presents Heartbreak House
First mounted 105 years ago, George Bernard Shaw’s funny, sexy, prescient, timely Heartbreak House – A Fantasia In the Russian Manner on English Themes skewers a society that’s deeply distracted by a range of self-interests. Nero may have fiddled while Rome burned, but the inhabitants of Heartbreak House dazzle, quip and equivocate in a world on the brink of seismic change. Societal beauties are focused on being beautiful, oligarchs are in government as unelected leaders, old men are with too-young women, and bombs are falling with no one paying attention. The production runs through September 28 at Hip Pocket Theatre.
A Thousand Horses in concert
Country group A Thousand Horses came out of the gates at full gallop in 2015, going to No. 3 on the Billboard Country chart with their debut album, Southernality, on the strength of their top 5 hit, “Smoke.” As can happen sometimes, though, their other three albums – most recently The Outside in 2024 – failed to chart and they haven’t had another hit yet. They’re still out there grinding, though, and hope springs eternal they’ll make it back on the national radar. They’ll play at Billy Bob’s Texas.

Mexican music icon Alejandro Fernández comes to Fort Worth as part of his new tour, De Rey a Rey, a tribute to the music of his late father, the legendary Vicente Fernández. The tour is a celebration of the Fernández legacy – music, family, Mexico, and the classic songs that are the soundtrack of Latino life. Fernández is also touring in support of his 2024 album, Te Llevo en la Sangre. The concert will be at Dickies Arena.
Pecos & the Rooftops in concert
Named in part for the rooftop they often hung out on, Pecos & the Rooftops got its start in 2019, when the four original members met attending college in Lubbock. The area has long been known for its alt-country scene, but Pecos & the Rooftops are at the forefront of a new country rock scene. They’ve released one album in their career, Pecos & the Rooftops in 2023. They’ll play at Billy Bob’s Texas.

The Witcher in Concert
The Witcher in Concert is a live music experience featuring a soundtrack from The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, coinciding with the 10th anniversary of the critically acclaimed video game, which follows the story of Geralt of Rivia as he embarks on a quest to find his adopted daughter, Ciri. The performance is brought to life by an ensemble of 14 musicians handpicked by the score’s co-composer, including select members of Polish folk metal band Percival Schuttenbach. The concert takes place at Will Rogers Auditorium.
Babymonster in concert
There seems to be a never-ending supply of K-Pop bands, and now Fort Worth gets the privilege of being one of only six North American stops for the all-female group Babymonster on their debut tour. The group existed well before their actual formation, with singers being recruited as early as 2018. They started actually releasing music in 2023, and released their debut album, Drip, in 2024. They’ll perform at Dickies Arena.
