PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A portion of Thomas Road is closed in west Phoenix after a deadly crash overnight.
The crash happened just before 4 a.m. near 27th Avenue and Thomas Road.
A witness told Arizona’s Family that a man was crossing the road outside of a crosswalk when several vehicles were approaching. According to the witness, one of the vehicles did not slow down, hit the man and left the scene.
The person’s body was still in the road as Arizona’s Family crews arrived. Phoenix Police have not confirmed details of this crash.
Police closed Thomas Road between 27th Avenue and 31st Avenue for the investigation. Drivers should use alternate streets.
