Happy Thursday,
If you take an evening stroll through Southlake Town Square this weekend, you’ll find streets filled with dozens of vendors and live entertainment. That’s because the city is celebrating its 69th birthday with a community festival.
The Southlake area was settled by pioneers in the 1840s, but was not designated as Southlake until 1956. The area retained its rural qualities until the completion of DFW International Airport in 1974. Find out more about the birthday celebration below.
Also, Gallery Night blows open doors in Fort Worth and Arlington this Saturday. You can find out which art venues I plan on checking out here. Let me know which galleries and museums you’re going to visit. If you see me out and about, be sure to say hello!
