FM 1960 shutdown (Harris County Pct. 4 Constable’s Office)
HOUSTON – The Harris County Pct. 4 Constable’s Office says the intersection of FM 1960 and the Tomball Parkway has reopened after being shut down due to a suspicious pipe.
The constable’s office said the discovery came after a traffic stop on a stolen vehicle at the location.
The intersection was shut down and a bomb squad was sent to the scene to investigate.
Authorities say the pipe was found to be loaded with methamphetamine and other narcotics, but no explosives were found. The driver was taken into custody.
The intersection has since reopened and traffic is flowing normally.
