I-17 in north Phoenix closed due to law enforcement investigation

PHOENIX – Traffic on Interstate 17 in north Phoenix was backed up Friday morning due to a law enforcement investigation, authorities said.

Northbound I-17 was closed at Daisy Mountain Drive in Anthem as of around 11 a.m., according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.

The southbound lanes remained open.

No other details about the closure or law enforcement investigation were immediately available.
