This is Eater’s guide to all the New York City restaurants, bars, and cafes that closed in August 2025 (see: August, July, June, May, April, March, February, and January). This list will be updated weekly, serving as a round-up of the dining and drinking places that have shuttered around the city. If a restaurant or bar has closed in your neighborhood, let us know at ny@eater.com.

Cheslea: Irish pub Triple Crown appears to have closed per its Google listing, probably sometime earlier this year. 330 Seventh Avenue, at West 29th Street

Park Slope: It seems as though Korean restaurant Gahm by Mokbar has closed sometime this summer. It was run by Iron Chef finalist Esther Choi, who also runs a bunch of other spots that remain open, such as fast-casual noodle and rice mini-chain Mokbar and cocktail bar Ms. Yoo. She originally opened Gahm in 2023. Now, its website and third-party delivery pages are gone, and it’s listed as permanently closed on Google. 212 Flatbush Avenue, near Bergen Street

Tribeca: The Room’s sister bar Anotheroom has closed on Tuesday, August 26, per Tribeca Tribune. The neighborhood staple was known for its extensive beer list, regulars, and dim lighting. The owners plan to relocate just south of the Odeon, though a reader says it’s not a done deal. 249 West Broadway, at Water Street

Tribeca: Clubby Japanese restaurant Buddha Bar seems to have closed sometime over the summer, as reported by Tribeca Citizen. Its website notes that it’s undergoing renovations and will be changed into something new. (This isn’t to be confused with New York’s previous glitzy Japanese restaurant Buddha Bar that was in the Meatpacking District, which had changed its name to Ajna Bar in 2009 because it broke off from its parent company, and shuttered in 2013.) 62 Thomas Street, between Church Street and West Broadway

Tribeca: Longtime corner deli Tribeca Park Cafe closed on Friday, August 29, after 45 years. The closure follows the $18 million sale of the property in January; the building is going to be demolished to make way for a condo development. 1 Walker Street, at West Broadway

West Village: New American restaurant Carriage House — known for that edible butter candle — seems to have closed sometime this summer. It’s another case of a Google listing of being permanently closed and vanished website and reservations pages. Chef Jordan Andino opened the restaurant in 2023. One of its previous staffers, Max Centauro, is actually starring on an upcoming new Netflix cooking competition show, Next Gen Chef — the press notes list her as having been the sous chef of Carriage, but now she’s the executive chef of Latin American restaurant Chica & Don. 142 West 10th Street, between Greenwich Avenue and Waverly Place
