Jacksonville State Trying To Bounce Back From Loss
The Gamecocks started their post-Rich Rodriguez era with a seven-point loss to UCF in their season opener. They will try to bounce back from the loss and pick up their first win of the season when they play on Saturday.
Jacksonville State scored 10 points in their first game. They threw for 157 yards and rushed for 165 yards in the loss.
Gavin Wimsatt completed 52 percent of his passes for 139 yards and one interception. He also had 13 carries for 28 yards. Cam Cook had 17 carries for 75 yards. He also led the team with four catches for 43 yards.
Jacksonville State gave up 17 points in their first game. They gave up 314 passing yards and 110 rushing yards in the loss.
