Mibro is now selling a new and less rugged smartwatch called the GS Active 2. This waterproof wearable weighs just 1.4 oz and can be used while swimming. It also comes with training plans, similar to the high-priced Garmin Forerunner watches.
In addition to the Pro 2, Mibro has also launched another new smartwatch. The so-called GS Active 2 is relatively similar, but according to Mibro’s marketing material, it also targets women as potential customers. The wearable was officially announced back in March and is now available for $96 directly at the manufacturer’s official online store.
The Mibro GS Active 2 is waterproof up to 5 ATM, which makes it suitable for swimming. A highlight feature are training plans for various distances, including marathons. These are supposedly personalized, similar to the Garmin coach training plans on the Foreunner and other high-priced watches. According to the manufacturer, the smartwatch can also record certain metrics to determine their running efficiency, such as the ground contact time.
As usual, the budget-focused smartwatch can also record heart rate and blood oxygen saturation. Maximum oxygen uptake can be estimated, which is a value that helps endurance athletes with assessing their performance over longer periods of time. That said, the much cheaper Garmin Forerunner competitor is suitable for more than just runners and comes with over 150 sport profiles in total. It’s also compatible with Google Fit, Strava and Apple Health. A dedicated app is available and purportedly offers a clean user experience thanks to various information cards.
The technical specifications of the GS Active 2 also include a 1.32-inch AMOLED display with a peak brightness of 1,200 nits and a resolution of 466 x 466 pixels. Additionally, Mibro advertises up to 20 days of battery life, while GPS activities can be recorded for up to 15 hours. Phone calls are supported as well.

I have been active as a journalist for over 10 years, most of it in the field of technology. I worked for Tom’s Hardware and ComputerBase, among others, and have been working for Notebookcheck since 2017. My current focus is particularly on mini PCs and single-board computers such as the Raspberry Pi – so in other words, compact systems with a lot of potential. In addition, I have a soft spot for all kinds of wearables, especially smartwatches. My main profession is as a laboratory engineer, which is why neither scientific contexts nor the interpretation of complex measurements are foreign to me.

My fascination for technology goes back a long way to the Pentium II era. Modding, overclocking and treasuring computer hardware has since become an integral part of my life. As a student, I further developed a keen interest in mobile technologies that can make the stressful college life so much easier. After I fell in love with the creation of digital content while working in a marketing position, I now scour the web to bring you the most exciting topics in the world of tech. Outside the office, I’m particularly passionate about motorsports and mountain biking.
