HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – A Hawaiian monk seal was seen hanging loose in Waikiki Saturday.
The seal was seen swimming ashore as beachgoers made way for the seal.
The public is reminded to keep a distance of at least 50 feet.
Seal sightings can be reported to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s marine wildlife hotline at (888) 256-9840.
