SAN ANTONIO — A 22-year-old driver is accused of crashing her vehicle while intoxicated along Northeast Loop 410, landing herself and five passengers in the hospital.

The crash occurred early Sunday morning around 2:42 a.m. along Northeast Loop 410 SB at the IH-10 Exit Ramp.

Police say the suspect was driving a 2006 blue Hyundai Sonata, traveling at a high rate of speed, and crashed near the Houston Street exit.

The suspect was found to be intoxicated at the time of the crash, police said. She sustained serious bodily injuries and was transported to a local hospital along with five other passengers. One passenger is facing life-threatening injuries, while the other four sustained non-life-threatening injuries. The investigation is ongoing.
