HOUSTON – Somebody is about to be a lot richer after Wednesday’s Texas Powerball drawing.
The Texas Lottery Commission confirms a second-tier winning ticket worth $2 million was sold at the Sellers Bros grocery store located at 601 N. Cesar Chavez Blvd. in Houston’s East End.
This is a ticket which matched all five numbers, but missed the Powerball number.
The winning number was 3, 16, 29, 61, 69, with the Powerball being 22.
The Texas Lottery also clarified that the name of the location retailer’s license, Barri 140088, is the name the commission references when identifying the store where the ticket was sold, but it is now known as Sellers Bros.
The estimated $1.7 billion prize is still up for grabs. The next drawing is on Saturday.
