Colorado Hockey Now
The NHL trade deadline has been set for March 6. The Avs will play on that day, taking on the Dallas Stars on the road while doing business ahead of their playoff run.
But before the postseason and the trade deadline comes training camp. And PTO season is upon us as names continue to get taken off the board by other teams. Here are some targets for the Avs to bring in on a camp invite.

Montreal Hockey Now: Lane Hutson was not invited to USA Hockey’s orientation camp in late August ahead of the 2026 Winter Olympics. This in itself was surprising. But even more so when you see some of the other invites like young Alex Vlasic and Jackson LaCombe, and an older but less skilled Neal Pionk.
Hutson’s father, Rob, who is a hockey coach himself, had some pretty strong remarks about his son being left off that long list. Could playing for Canada someday be an option? Or is it simply just an empty threat.
