FORT WORTH, Texas — A child was hospitalized after they were hit by a vehicle that fled the scene, Fort Worth police said.
Officers responded to a hit-and-run call around 7:53 p.m. Friday to the Mercantile Square Apartments located at 3601 Vela Lane, the Fort Worth Police Department said in a press release.
Police found that a child was hit by a vehicle that fled the scene, the release states. The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment and officials did not immediately release any additional information about the condition of the child.
Police said the suspect vehicle is a black SUV, the release states.
The traffic investigations unit is investigating the incident, police said.
