SAN ANTONIO – A homeowner escaped unharmed after a fire broke out early Sunday morning.
Around 2:40 a.m. on Sunday, firefighters responded to the scene of a house fire near the corner of Montpellar Drive and Slayden Drive on the North West Side.
When firefighters arrived, they found heavy fire coming from the attic and quickly began pushing back the flames and searching for victims inside the home.
Crews were thankfully able to control the flames, and the home only sustained moderate damage. Crews on scene said that the homeowner was able to escape the burning building safely.
Investigators are still working to determine the cause of the fire.
