THE BRONX (WABC) — A man was struck and killed in a deadly hit-and-run in the Bronx early Sunday morning, according to the NYPD.
The deadly collision happened just after 2 a.m. near the Major Deegan Expressway and Mosholu Parkway.
Upon arrival, officers found the 30-year-old man unconscious in the roadway with trauma to his head and body. First responders transported the victim to Saint Barnabas Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
There are currently no arrests and no description of the vehicle that police are looking for. Officials say it is not clear yet what the victim was doing in the roadway at the time of the incident.
Authorities are now trying to determine what led up to the fatal crash.
