Kurt Russell is officially joining the cast of the upcoming Taylor Sheridan series “The Madison,” according to Deadline.
FORT WORTH, Texas — Hollywood A-Lister Kurt Russell is confirmed to join Taylor Sheridan’s Yellowstone spinoff “The Madison,” according to Variety.
Variety reported Sept. 4 that Kurt Russell will join the cast of “The Madison,” which was announced as a spinoff of his hit “Yellowstone.” The series is billed as a drama that follows “a New York City family in the Madison River Valley of central Montana,” according to Variety.
The series previously filmed several scenes for its first season in Dallas. An official premiere date for season one has not been announced. The Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported that filming for season two will begin in Fort Worth this month.
“The Madison” also stars Michelle Pfeiffer, Patrick J. Adams, Elle Chapman and Matthew Fox. It’s unclear exactly which character Russell would play, but Variety is reporting that he is the husband of Pfeiffer’s character.
Russell is known for starring in several blockbusters, including “The Thing,” “The Hateful Eight,” and “Escape from New York.”
He most recently starred in the Apple TV+ series “Monarch: Legacy of Monsters,” but has primarily appeared in roles on the silver screen.
