Second Sundays is Pioneer Works’ monthly open house featuring hands-on activities for kids and families, artist open studios, science activations, and more.  Highlights this month include a exhibition scavenger hunt, a showcase from Pioneer Works’ summer youth programs, a little free library from Brooklyn Book Bodega, a comic workshop, solar gazing, and more.

The Second United Lenape / Lunáapeew Nations Pow Wow at the LeFrak Center | Prospect Park

Join the Éenda-Lŭnaapeewáhkiing Collective for the Second United Lenape/Lunáapeew Nations Pow Wow at the LeFrak Center at Lakeside in Prospect Park. This will be the first Pow Wow in Prospect Park since 1972 and the second Lenape Pow Wow in New York City. The free, two-day public event will feature Indigenous dancers, drummers, and artisan craft and food vendors.

Open Hours at the Environmental Education Center | Brooklyn Bridge Park

Starting this week, the Environmental Education Center will have Open Hours on Sundays from 1-5pm! Stop in to learn about the Park and local ecology, including a 10’ model of the Park, visit our tank critters include fish, turtles, and frogs, and enjoy rotating monthly themes with crafts and activities!

After presenting concerts for nearly 50 years in a floating concert hall at Pier 1, Bargemusic has relocated their chamber music concerts to the Boathouse at Brooklyn Bridge Park’s Pier 5. All concerts are free!

The People’s Runway is a fashion show that will take place outside at Brooklyn Borough Hall Plaza as part of New York Fashion Week. The People’s Runway will feature work from five emerging Brooklyn designers. The event is open to the public, first-come first-served, and standing room only.
