Fort Worth, Texas – North Texas will see a steady warmup this week as cooler-than-normal highs in the 80s early on give way to low-90s heat by midweek. The National Weather Service says no rain is expected from Monday through Friday, with the warming trend extending into next weekend.
According to forecasters, Dallas-Fort Worth will hover in the mid-80s Monday and Tuesday before climbing to 90° on Wednesday and holding in the low 90s through Friday. Waco, Temple and Killeen will follow a similar path, starting in the upper 80s before warming into the low 90s by midweek. Sherman and Denison will be slightly cooler, topping out in the upper 80s to near 90° by Friday.
The dry stretch means no relief for parched ground or late-summer allergies, and residents are urged to stay hydrated and limit strenuous outdoor activity during peak afternoon heat. Road crews and outdoor workers should prepare for hotter conditions as the week progresses.
Above-normal temperatures are expected to persist into the weekend, with the next chance for rain not on the immediate horizon.
