A woman, who works at a Wingstop restaurant in Philadelphia’s Overbrook section, is recovering after being shot by a customer during an incident that, officials said, happened on Monday night.

According to police, officers responded to a Wingstop restaurant along the 7600 block of City Avenue in Philadelphia’s Overbrook section at about 5:19 a.m. on Sunday after a woman in her 40s, who was working at the restaurant, was allegedly shot by a customer.

However, officials said, the worker suffered non-life-threatening injuries in this incident and she refused medical care after the shooting.

Officials said she was stable following the incident.

As of about 7 a.m. on Monday, police have not yet said if anyone was apprehended in this incident nor have they detailed what may have led to the shooting.
