Today, the Eastern Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters (EAS Carpenters) endorsed Dr. Michael Russo, Hoboken’s Third Ward Councilman, to be the City’s next Mayor.
“For years, Michael Russo has been a champion for Hoboken’s working families,” said William C. Sproule, Executive Secretary-Treasurer of the Eastern Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters. “He has fought to create and protect union jobs, stood with workers to raise wages and benefits, and pushed for more workforce housing so families can thrive in Hoboken. Michael’s leadership, deep understanding of the government, and unwavering advocacy make him the right choice for Mayor. The EAS Carpenters are proud to support him as he fights for working families across the city.”
“I’m incredibly proud to have the Carpenters by my side in this mayoral campaign,” said Dr. Michael Russo. “From housing to recreation, there’s a lot of work to be done in Hoboken. As Mayor I’ll implement real solutions immediately. I’ll expand union jobs, aggressively enforce project labor agreements, and stand on the picket line against bad actors. With bold leadership, and the Carpenters’ support, we’ll restore Hoboken’s promise as a place where the middle class can build a future.”
